Isa Al Mashee is “the word and His Ruh” is mentioned several times in many parts of the Quran. In fact, it talks about Isa 95 times whereas it talks about Muhammad 5 times. It surely deserves some careful attention to the readers of Quran. But do they really see this? It doesn’t look like.

It is very difficult for the Muslims to understand and follow Isa Al Mashee. Because they only see him one of their prophets who has miraculous power to heal the sick and raising the death, giving them lives. That’s what they see but they certainly fail to see the deity of God in him.

The primary and foremost message of the New Testament is the advent of Christ Jesus on earth that prophet of Isaiah had prophesied about 730 years ahead of His birth, demise, resurrection and propitiation of sin, all were clearly predicted by prophet Isaiah (The Book of Isaiah chapter 53 observed).

Isa Al Mashie or Jesus Christ is only human being who was completely without any defilement and God had sent the news of his birth with angel Gabriel. Not only that, God also sent his name, genealogical selection and the significance of his existence. Jesus was completely divine and completely human combined.

The verse 45 of the chapter Al-Imran of the Quran duly testifies-

Translation: (And remember) when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a word from him, whose name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, illustrious in the world and the hereafter, and one of those brought near (unto Allah).

The above-mentioned words clearly define that Jesus is peerless. He is the Word and the Spirit of (Allah) God is self-evident on the verse. But how can we describe that? Can we comprehend the vastness of His word and greatness of Christ?

From the exposition of the context of the verse we can conclude that God had sent angel Gabriel to Mary, the betrothed wife of Joseph (yusuf) with the news of the birth of Messiah Jesus who would be savior of mankind on earth and heaven and would be the only person to be ordained with spiritual designation, such as the Word of God, the Spirit of God.

Jesus, the Messiah was originated in his virgin mother’s womb through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, meaning, he was born without any physical consummation or conjugation. He is sinless, The Quran described as (Gulaman Zakiya) because he was born through the Holy Spirit. Therefore, the Word of Holy God revealed in his mundane life.

As God uses Mary in order to accomplish His mission, Jesus is also called the Son of Man. He sustains dual existence in the sense that he is completely of Spirit and of flesh too. In other word, Jesus is hundred percent Spirit and hundred percent human being. Many terms Him as sinless prophet because of this spatiality and because there is none above God’s Spirit and His Word.

Precisely, the Quran has entitled Jesus as the Holy Son. ‘Holy’ is to be counted as pure, faultless or sinless, when Gabriel rightfully declared it to Mary and the Quran observed as this: He said: I am only a messenger of thy Lord, that I may bestow on thee a faultless son (Sura Maryam 19:19).

Even though he was bore to Mary and Joseph, his advent was from God Almighty for which he is revered highly of all. But that too, he was born into a Jewish family.

According to Shahi Bukhari, Jesus Christ is pure, faultless by birth and untouched by Satan. Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (pbuh) as saying: No child is born but he is picked by the Satan and he begins to weep because of the pricking of Satan except the son of Mary and his mother.

“Abu Huraira then said: You may recite if you so like (the verse): “I seek thy protection for her and for her offspring against Satan the accursed” (iii).36). This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Zuhri with the same chain of transmitters (and the words are):” The newborn child is touched by the Satan (when he comes in the world) and he starts crying because of the touch of Satan.  In the hadith transmitted on the authority of Shu’aib there is a slight variation of wording (hadith 5837)”.

After narrating the hadith Abu Huraira went on saying- you can support this Hadith with the verse from Quran, saying- ‘wa inni auzubika wazur riyataha minash shaitanir ralim,’ meaning and we protected her (Mary), and her son from the clutch of Satan and commented in your hand.

In verse 17 of Chapter Mary or Maryam clears the path further more like this: And had chosen seclusion from them. Then we sent unto her Our Spirit and it assumed for her the likeness of a perfect man (17).

He is a Revelation to mankind and a mercy from God,’ says verse 21 of the chapter.

Sura Maryam 19: 21

Meaning: How can ye take it (back) after one of you hath gone in unto the other, and they have taken a strong pledge from you?

Apostle John rightfully said in his writing in John chapter 10 and verse 10 like this: The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Satan is characterized as thief who steals and destroy. Destructions are what he causes. He concealed the truth from the first human being Adam and Eve, and cussed them to sin by going against God’s commands. He has never stopped going against God’s law and the truth.

He came to die for the fallen world who sinned against God and paid the price of our sins. And through his death we have received our forgiveness from God, for he bore our sins on him on the cross. Yes, he was buried but on the third day he rose again from the death. Because the grave has no power to keep him there forever.

He is our victorious king. So, if you not know him that way, today you can ask him to come into your life. It is not about he is Jew or Muslim. It is about only him who can forgive our sins and redeem us from falling. Would you like to turn to him in repentance? He is ready to offer you a new life. A life of godliness.
